Which brands are in every AI app store?

Should my connector be in every AI app store?
Most brands haven't done it yet. Of the 15,682 apps we track across ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor and Meta's Muse, only 17 are listed in all four.
Many big brands are in one store and not the other. Walmart, Etsy and DoorDash are in ChatGPT and nowhere else. Strava, Zapier and Audible are in Claude but not in ChatGPT.
Some context: you would expect big brands to be everywhere, the way Walmart has both an iPhone and an Android app. And yet 88% of the apps in our census are in exactly one store. Here's what we found, as of October 20, 2026.
How many apps are in more than one AI store?
Only 1,866 apps (12%) are in two or more stores: 1,667 in two, 182 in three and 17 in all four. Almost all of that overlap is between ChatGPT and Claude, which share 1,754 apps. Add Cursor and the number drops to 190. Add Muse and it drops to 17.

The stores are very different sizes, so the overlap looks different from each side. A quarter of ChatGPT's 7,406 plugins (24%) are also in another store, against 19% of Claude's 9,838 apps.
Cursor and Muse are small and curated, so most of what they list is already somewhere else: 65% of Cursor's 453 apps and 60% of Muse's 67. Muse is the bottleneck for "all four," because Meta publishes every connector in it (more in What connectors are available in Muse?).
Which brands are in all four stores?
The 17 brands in every store are all work tools: email, files, calendars, design, chat, meetings and app builders. There is no shopping, travel or entertainment brand among them. Here they are, with today's ranks in ChatGPT and Claude.
"In every store" does not always mean the brand shipped it. Every Muse listing names Meta as the publisher. In ChatGPT, OpenAI itself publishes Gmail, Google Drive, Google Calendar and GitHub. In Cursor, seven of the 17 (including Gmail, GitHub, Calendly, Klaviyo and Zoom) are published under Cursor's name.
The same brand also looks different in each store. Zoom is a good example: in Claude its listing is literally called Zoom for Claude, and only its ChatGPT plugin draws UI inside the chat.
| Store | Listing name | First line of the listing | Tools |
|---|---|---|---|
| ChatGPT | Zoom | Insights from Zoom | 20, plus 5 UI templates |
| Claude | Zoom for Claude | Search, recap, and act on your Zoom meetings | 9 |
| Cursor | Zoom | Search meetings, pull transcripts, and work with Zoom Docs. | MCP server |
| Muse | Zoom | Schedule meetings and review recordings and transcripts | Written by Meta |
Do apps in more stores rank better?
Yes, and the gap grows with each extra store. In ChatGPT, the median single-store plugin sits at #3,965 and the median plugin that is also elsewhere sits at #2,823. In Claude the gap is wider: #3,690 against #1,620.
| Apps in both ChatGPT and Claude | Apps | Median ChatGPT rank | Median Claude rank |
|---|---|---|---|
| In those 2 stores only | 1,558 | #3,179 | #1,971 |
| Also in Cursor or Muse | 179 | #534 | #255 |
| In all 4 stores | 17 | #35 | #17 |
Do not read this as "ship to more stores and you will climb." Cursor and Muse pick their partners, and they pick brands that already have lots of users. What it does show is that a brand with a strong rank in one store is very likely to have a listing in the next one.
Which categories travel across stores, and which stay in one?
Business software travels, and consumer apps and developer side projects stay in one store. Across all apps, 12% are in two or more stores. Messaging and meetings tools are twice that.
- Messaging & meetings
- Sales & CRM
- Data & analytics
- HR & recruiting
- Shopping
- Jobs & careers
- Code & repositories
- AI assistant add-ons
Code and repositories looks low for a reason. 631 of its 1,048 apps are community skills, mostly from GitHub, and those rarely leave their home store.
Shopping is different, because the brands there are real and official. Most of them simply pick ChatGPT and stop there: 262 shopping apps are only in ChatGPT, 117 only in Claude and 26 in both. Travel follows the same pattern (370, 168 and 73).
Which big brands are in ChatGPT but not Claude, and the reverse?
Retail and consumer brands tend to be ChatGPT-only, and business platforms and a few consumer brands tend to be Claude-only. We checked each brand below by name and by website domain in every store, so these are real gaps, not matching errors.
| Brand | Listed in | Rank there | Not in |
|---|---|---|---|
| Walmart | ChatGPT | #212 | Claude, Cursor |
| Etsy | ChatGPT | #188 | Claude, Cursor |
| ChatGPT | #174 | Claude, Cursor | |
| Skyscanner | ChatGPT | #155 | Claude, Cursor |
| Quizlet | ChatGPT | #189 | Claude, Cursor |
| DoorDash | ChatGPT | #714 | Claude, Cursor |
| Zapier | Claude, Cursor, Muse | #27 in Claude | ChatGPT |
| Strava | Claude | #33 | ChatGPT, Cursor |
| Uber Eats | Claude | #125 | ChatGPT (Uber itself is in both) |
| Audible | Claude | #193 | ChatGPT, Cursor |
| Square | Claude | #217 | ChatGPT, Cursor |
| Braze | Claude | #266 | ChatGPT, Cursor |
Microsoft is the oddest case, because Microsoft did not publish its own Office listings in any of these stores. In ChatGPT, OpenAI publishes separate plugins for Outlook Email (#8), SharePoint (#58), Outlook Calendar (#65) and Teams (#106). In Claude, Anthropic publishes one bundle, Microsoft 365 (#5). Cursor and Meta each built their own versions too.
Why are so few brands in every store?
Each store has its own submission process, its own review and its own idea of what a listing is. The MCP server behind it can be the same, but the listing, the reviewer and sometimes the publisher are different.
- ChatGPT. OpenAI's submission docs ask you to verify your identity or business first, and the first review needs test cases and, if users must sign in, a demo account.
- Claude. Anyone on a paid Claude plan can submit. A new server is scanned automatically and listed as Community by default, and Anthropic may later verify it.
- Cursor. A Cursor plugin must be open source, and Cursor reviews every plugin and every update by hand.
- Muse. Partners apply through a form. Meta's connector guidelines ask for business verification, a test account and a three-stage review.
And every queue is long. Meta said Muse got "over 2,000 submissions in just a few days since launch," and it lists 56 connectors today.
At OpenAI, Max Stoiber, who works on plugin review, wrote on October 16 that his team had nearly doubled its weekly reviews, but the backlog was still growing. Anthropic gives no number, and says only that review time "isn't fixed" (Anthropic).
A brand that waits weeks for one store is unlikely to start three more queues at the same time. So most brands start with one store and stop there.
So, what should you do?
If you sell to businesses, be in ChatGPT and Claude. The same MCP server can sit behind both listings, and the brands people use most are already in both.
Submit early. The queues get longer as more brands notice these stores. Brands that get listed first start to collect usage and rank while later brands wait.
Check whether a store already built your listing. OpenAI's Gmail, Cursor's Calendly and Anthropic's Microsoft 365 were all built by the store. If yours was, you do not control its name, its tools or what it says about you.
For consumer brands, ChatGPT first is a fair bet, but not the only one. Most shoppers are in ChatGPT today, but Claude ranks consumer brands well (Strava is #33 there).
Methodology
We read the ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor and Muse directories every day. All numbers here are from October 20, 2026. We count two listings as one app only when they have the same owner and the same name, so renamed listings count twice and the real overlap is a little higher (near 1,950 apps for ChatGPT and Claude). We also track Grok, but its plugin list is almost the same as Cursor's, so we leave it out here. Categories are our own labels. More on our method page.
