What's trending in Claude's connector store?

What connectors are trending in Claude's plugin store this week (the week of October 19, 2026)?
As of October 20, the #1 trending connector in Claude is eDreams, a flight and hotel search that Claude's directory lists as added in September 2026. On popularity it ranks only about #400.
Right behind eDreams are a tool that backtests trading ideas, a crypto block explorer, and an email and messaging service built for AI agents. Here's the full list:
Some context: Claude publishes two orders for its connector directory, a popularity rank and a trending rank. In our post on top-ranked connectors we showed that the two barely overlap. This time we looked inside the trending list, as of October 20, 2026 (it changes daily!).
The biggest connectors in Claude are well down the trending list. The best trending rank in the whole popularity top 100 belongs to ElevenLabs, at #137.
How does Claude's trending rank work?
Anthropic's developer docs say popularity counts the distinct Claude accounts that used a connector in the last 30 days, and trending ranks connectors "by recent growth in that same message-based count." Claude shows the trending top 10 on its Trending page.
Exactly how long "recent" means isn't specified. The data also indicates that a connector likely needs some base of users before it gets a trending rank at all. 98% of the popularity top 1,000 have a trending rank, but only 9% of connectors ranked below #3,000 have a trending rank at all.
Can a brand-new connector trend?
Yes. In fact, new is the norm. Two thirds of the trending top 100 are less than a month old, while almost every connector in the popularity top 100 has been listed for three months or more.
Part of this is simply that the connector store itself is fairly new, and that it's easier to grow from a smaller base. A connector that goes from a few hundred accounts to a few thousand in a month grows faster than Gmail can.
What kinds of connectors trend?
Money, legal, jobs and entertainment show up far more often in the trending top 100 than in the popularity top 100. Everyday work tools (docs, messaging, project management, finance) are popular, but less likely to be trending. These are the Gmails and Google Docs of the world that people are using daily, but that rarely see a trending spike.
Here's more context on the connectors that are trending as of October 20, 2026:
- Trading and crypto. TEXT TO QUANT (#2) backtests trading ideas, Etherscan (#3) explores the Ethereum blockchain, and Keel offers to "Build & backtest Hyperliquid strategies."
- One country's law. HRbase answers labor questions in Japanese, Zitierfest searches German statutes and court decisions, Nevo searches Israeli law, and Pakistan Case Law searches "250,000+ reported Pakistani judgments."
- Job search. HiringCafe can filter by "Day/night/swing shift; specific licensees, certifications, security clearance, or skills; salary range."
- Moments. Wave by Vento (#5) is a guide to a single conference. Interest in a connector like that peaks before the event, which is why a high trending rank is not the same as lasting demand.
So, what should you do with this?
Push your existing users to connect in launch week. Trending counts growth, and early growth from a small base is the easiest growth there is. A launch email to current customers is a simple way to get that early growth.
Launch around a moment. Several trending connectors are tied to a launch or an event: Wave by Vento (#5) is a guide to a single conference, and eDreams went to #1 within three weeks of joining.
Watch your category, then check popularity a month later. Trending rewards fast growth from a small base, so it can be noisy. Treat a trending rank as a reason to look closer, and see whether popularity follows.
