Start by calling so you know which site this is (name, tagline, language hints, plugins). If the user has not said what they want, offer three concrete ideas based on their site: for example a short tour of their latest posts, a new draft in their voice, or a quick content audit (posts without a category, featured image or excerpt). New posts and pages are drafts unless the user asks to publish; say so when you create one, and give its edit link. Deleting only moves items to the trash.
