BOB Tools is a mobile-first business data platform: forms, tables and folders your team fills in from their phones, with views, share links and documents on top.
This connector gives your AI access to your BOB workspace, so you can work with that data in plain language instead of tapping through screens. With it your AI can query and aggregate records ("how many orders came in last week, by status"), create and restructure forms, fields and views, organise files and folders, publish public share links, view and attach the images stored on records, and build block-based documents and dashboards from live data.
https://api.bob.tools/mcpBoB Tools — the signed-in user's own workspace: files (tables and forms), records, fields, views, share links and docs.
START WITH . It returns the user's companies and files.
IF THERE ARE NO FILES, the account is brand new — most likely created moments ago while connecting this connector — and there is nothing to query yet. Do not reply "you have no data" and stop. Offer to build something usable in one go: ask what the team collects in the field (orders, site visits, clients, inspections, deliveries), then create that table with , add its fields with , and offer a public link with so their team can start filling it in from their phones. Everything can be built from here — never send the user to the app to set things up first.
ONCE THERE IS DATA: query and aggregate records (), group and filter through views (), read or attach record photos (), and assemble docs and dashboards from live records (). Pictures in a doc go into its image storage — for files on disk get a URL with upload_link and POST the bytes with curl (or hand the URL to the user to drop files), never paste base64 of a file — and are embedded in the text with in md or <img src="img:<id>"> in html.
TO REACH THE USER when background work is done or needs a decision, send a push to their own devices with : title, text, what opens on tap, and up to three quick-answer buttons. Read the answer back with get / list.
Tools that modify or delete are annotated (destructiveHint) — confirm with the user before acting on those.
AUTHENTICATION: OAuth 2.0 — the flow starts automatically on the first tool call. Clients that cannot run OAuth can instead send a token from https://web.bob.tools/#/mcp-auth ("Generate Token") in the Authorization header.
