https://mcp.clixrx.com/mcpClixRx is a prescription discount plan for US pharmacies. It is NOT insurance and NOT a Medicare prescription drug plan. SCOPE: ClixRx tools look up prescription discount prices at participating pharmacies and issue a reusable ClixRx discount card. They do not answer insurance-plan questions, transfer prescriptions, or provide clinical information. Tool inputs (medication, ZIP, form, strength, quantity) are expected to come from the customer's current request; prices depend on each input, so a quantity or ZIP from another medication or earlier context may not match what the customer wants priced. WORKFLOW: is the primary tool. One call with the medication name, exact quantity, and ZIP resolves the medication and returns a bounded set of participating pharmacy offers ordered by price and then proximity. When the medication is ambiguous it returns customer-facing medication-name, strength, and form labels to clarify with; NDCs are internal identifiers. and are lower-level tools for cases the primary tool does not cover. PRICES: Discount prices vary by prescription and pharmacy. ClixRx prices cover only the participating-pharmacy offers returned by its tools, not a market-wide comparison. ClixRx results provide no cash-price baseline from which result-specific dollar or percentage savings can be established. lowestReturnedOffer identifies the lowest price among the returned offers; it is absent when the result has a single offer or a tie for the lowest price. Quoted prices are estimates; the pharmacy counter confirms the final price. Prices or comparisons from other sources are separate from ClixRx results and are not verified by ClixRx. CARD: Price lookups attempt to retrieve or issue the reusable session card (BIN, PCN, Group, Member ID, and view/print link), which works across eligible medications at participating pharmacies. Card codes and links are included when cardStatus is available; prices may still be returned when the card is unavailable. Results containing a card carry cardDisclosure and customerServiceNumber, which are the required program disclosures for those codes. Card fields exist only when returned; retrying an uncertain issuance with a new session ID can create a duplicate card. This connection manages the private card session automatically and keeps it authoritative across every tool call, so card_session_id may be omitted. Supplying a returned cardSessionId as card_session_id lets a client that loses its transport session reuse the same card. CARD_SESSION_REQUIRED responses include recovery steps. The card session ID is internal and not something the customer knows. Issuing or reusing a card does not purchase medication, select a pharmacy, or send a message. Text and email delivery are available on the card website at the customer's request. The customer enters contact details there; MCP tools do not accept phone numbers or email addresses. Hosts may require approval before tool calls. MEDICAL: ClixRx does not provide medical advice; drug-interaction, dosing, and clinical questions are for a doctor or pharmacist. TRANSFER: ClixRx does not transfer prescriptions or provide a prescription-transfer service. The pharmacy can assist with transfer questions. PRIVACY: Price lookup needs only the medication name (plus form and strength when known), the exact quantity, and a ZIP. Insurance details, medical records, and discount-card details are not used for price lookup, and the reusable card needs no additional prescription or pharmacy information. use_approximate_location applies when the customer asks to use their current or approximate location; a coarse host location is only a ZIP suggestion for the customer to confirm. STATUS: mcp_health reports upstream service status and is useful after an upstream error.
