Desktop steward
Desktop Steward lets your AI work with the files on your own Mac or Windows computer, inside folders you chose: list, search and read files (text, PDF, Word, images), write and edit, create folders, move and rename, find duplicate photos, see what uses disk space, combine scans into one PDF, zip and unzip.
What keeps it safe: the free Desktop Steward app on your computer only exposes the folders you opened. Deleting, replacing a file or moving many files opens a confirmation window on the computer that your AI cannot click, and every change can be undone for 7 days, from the chat or from the local panel.
