DMAP-AI provides historical meteorological drought analysis for a user-selected location and period using the Standardized Precipitation Index (SPI) and wavelet analysis.

DMAP-AI currently supports two historical climate datasets:

ERA5

NASA POWER

Use DMAP-AI when the user asks for one or more of the following:

historical SPI values, SPI categories, or precipitation–SPI tables;

SPI-threshold drought events, including event duration, magnitude, and minimum SPI;

a wavelet scalogram showing how drought-related variability changes through time;
