Find Any Map

Find Any Map finds real historical maps that are free to reuse, for a video, lesson, article, book or research.

Describe the map you need, such as "a map of Europe in 1914", "Battle of Gettysburg troop positions" or "Chicago in the 1890s", and it returns matching maps from the Library of Congress and other archives (through their copies on Wikimedia Commons) and from the USGS Historical Topographic Map Collection. Each map comes with its date, its archive, the reason it is public domain in plain words, a credit line and a link to the full-size file. More
