Plumbline checks a contractor's license, by license number or business name, against licensing-board records across dozens of US jurisdictions, including trade licenses such as master and journeyman plumbers.
Each result names the issuing board, the snapshot date and the license status as the board publishes it, with a link to the board's own lookup. A no-match means our index has no record; it never means the contractor is unlicensed, because a license can sit under another name, in another jurisdiction or with a board we do not cover.
https://contractors.agentlookups.ai/mcpFree, neutral contractor-license checks from official state and local licensing records across dozens of US jurisdictions; the covered set changes as sources are added. Every finding carries provenance (source, snapshot date, artifact hash). A no_match_in_index result is not a determination that a business is unlicensed: licenses may be held under different names, in other jurisdictions, or with boards this index does not cover. Contact details (entity.contact) are what the board's record listed as of its snapshot date, published so the user can reach the business directly; they are not verified as current, and Plumbline is not a referral or lead service. Records of individuals carry no contact details. findings.registration.no_match_in_registry is not a determination that a business is unregistered (sole proprietors need no registration, and boards list trade names).
