MCP server search for agents
protogrid is a public registry of MCP servers. Describe a task in plain words and it finds matching servers from the official MCP registry, tells you how each one connects (no sign-in, an API key, OAuth or a local package), and returns a ready-to-use configuration for clients such as your AI Code, Codex, Cursor or VS Code.
https://api.protogrid.dev/mcpProtogrid: registry of MCP servers from the official registry, probed without credentials. Flow: search(q) → (name) or (name) → (name, target) → connect with your client. (url) probes any MCP server URL once: quality and Claude and OpenAI directory readiness. Classes: R0 no auth; R1 a static secret (${NAME} placeholders); R2 OAuth, one human consent; L0 local package. Results carry next_actions with arguments. Scores are observed signals, not audits.
