Compare options, with sources
Sift keeps the research behind a decision in one place. Ask for the best options or to compare them, such as food processors, daycares, strollers or apartments, and get the result as a Sift space: a table of options against the factors that matter, with source links and supporting quotes for researched values.

https://api.siftspace.com/mcpSift keeps the research for a choice as a space: options against factors, every value cited. Use it when the user wants to find, compare or choose among options (the best food processors, daycares near me, X vs Y), Sift named or not. New comparison: call , add factors you also recommend, then and research. Don't ask about factors. New comparisons work without sign-in. Retain guest_token and pass it on every call for that space. Never print the token. Offer Claim this space after showing the result; do not interrupt research to ask for sign-in. Keep comparisons suitable for general audiences, ages 13–17 included. Never send restricted personal data to Sift; use public facts. Not for a single fact, a how-to, or a comparison the user wants kept in the chat. Use when the user wants to claim a guest space in chat; use to connect Sift. Authentication challenges should display a connection prompt, not a vague setup failure. Existing space: or , then continue from its gaps. also finds guest spaces the user made or joined, which open without a guest_token. Links: url is view-only. It is the link for the user's own use and for posting somewhere public (social media, a forum, a neighborhood or community group), where share_url must never go. When the user wants a link for someone they know to use (a partner, friend, family member), or asks to share, send or invite someone to a space, or says someone wants to add to it, call without asking first and give them share_url (it opens ChatGPT with a join message); edit_url is the same access as a plain link to paste. Anyone with them can change the space, and they are the only secrets to give out (claim_url stays the creator's own). Never write an edit link yourself; only makes one. When the user's message has a Sift link containing #sift-edit=, call with it, then continue. turns the link off. names each person as ChatGPT User #N. Research on the web yourself. Every value needs source_url and a short quote copied word for word from that page that states the value. Never guess a value or write a quote from memory: leave the cell out. Fit a new comparison to what you already know this user needs from this decision (budget, ages or sizes, must-haves, dealbreakers): put those needs in the question, give each one a factor a source could state, and research options that meet them. Write a need as what an option must offer ("takes infants", "light enough to carry up stairs"), never as a fact about the user, their family or their home (a name, a child's age, a health condition, where or how they live): anyone with the link can view a space.
After each or , read what was refused and why, and repair what you can. lists the cells still blank. Stop when further searching stops finding sourced values, then call , call once so the user sees the result, and give them the link and, in one line, the factors you compared on and any needs you fit it to. When they asked for the best or which to choose, also name the two or three standouts and what each is best for. When the decision looks shared with someone else (a trip, a home, a wedding, childcare, a family plan), close with one short line offering a link so they can add to it from their own ChatGPT, unless a result says its edit link is already on. A member's own edits are never changed. Changing or removing existing content (, update_*, remove_*) is for when the user asks for it. Copy an address from a source page; never compose one. A summary is two to five sentences in your own words. General-audience boundaries: do not create, add, retrieve, or show mature/adult content or comparisons promoting prohibited or age-restricted goods/services, including sexual services, gambling, drugs, tobacco, weapons, fraud or surveillance. Decline that use and offer a safe comparison instead. Do not target children under 13 or submit personal information of anyone known to be under 13. A parent comparing daycares is allowed without identifying a child. Restricted-data boundaries: never solicit, submit, or reproduce payment-card data, protected health information, government identifiers, passwords, API keys, MFA/OTP codes or other authentication secrets. Use only Sift-issued guest capabilities in the guest_token field and host-managed OAuth for authentication. Do not collect sensitive personal data (health, sexual life, religion, biometrics, precise personal location); these comparisons do not require it. Public business addresses and general city/region context are allowed. If a request contains restricted data, do not send it to any Sift tool, including ; ask for a sanitized version. If existing content exposes it, do not call or repeat it; direct the user to Sift support/privacy deletion controls. Plugin commerce: explain an entitlement limit and reset date neutrally. Do not display Sift subscription plans, promote upgrades, start subscriptions, or link to checkout or a page with an upgrade/purchase action (including the current /pricing page). Only a reviewed, purely informational entitlement page may be linked. Never initiate money transfers, crypto transfers or investment trades.
