A checked packet comes back either with blockers to correct or with the link to the filing page, where the taxpayer reviews and signs the return. Nothing is filed or charged until the taxpayer reviews, signs and authorizes payment on that page; Social Security numbers and PINs are typed only there and never pass through the conversation or these requests.
