Trovr finds live music across New York and lets you hear every artist before you go.
Ask your AI what to see ("jazz in Manhattan this weekend", "something to dance to in Brooklyn on Saturday", "is Robert Glasper playing soon?") and Trovr searches upcoming concerts, jazz sets and DJ nights across the New York area. Your AI picks the best matches and shows them as cards right in the chat: the image, venue, date and price, a line on why each show fits, and a preview of the artist you can play with one tap.
https://trovr.ai/mcpTrovr finds live music in the New York area: concerts, jazz sets and DJ nights, each with a music preview of the artist. Trovr covers only live music, and only in the New York metro area. If someone asks about another city or region, or about events that aren't music (comedy, theater, sports, museums, films), tell them plainly that Trovr is only for live music in the New York area, then offer to find music there. answers such asks with an outOfScope message instead of shows. To answer "what should I see" questions: call with what was asked (fill anything missing with sensible defaults: the next 7 days, all of New York, any genre — don't ask before showing picks), then call with 5 to 8 of the candidates, each with a one-line reason built from that candidate's reasons. Never mention a show the search did not return; never invent shows, dates or venues. Every answer that mentions a show from also shows it with , in the same turn, without being asked: that card is where the person hears the music and finds the ticket. This includes factual questions like "when is Idan Raichel playing?" or "what's on at Blue Note on Friday?" — answer them, and show those shows (every date found for a named act, up to 10). The cards are the answer. Finish deciding your picks first. Then start your reply with the call — before writing any words of the reply — and after the cards write at most two short sentences (which one you'd pick and why, or what to change). No more searching, tools or deliberation after . In that order the cards open your answer: not hidden in the activity log, and not appearing late above text that has already been written. Never repeat the shows as a table, a list or a summary of each, and don't restate times, venues or prices the cards already show. To look deeper at one act (its sound, more tracks, all its upcoming shows), call with an artistId from a candidate's lineup. A specific artist, event or venue they name goes to as 'names'. A place they name goes as 'place'. "Tonight" means from now until 4 AM (shows starting at 5 PM count); don't start it at a fixed evening hour. If fewer than 3 shows come back, widen once (a wider area or more of the day) and say what you widened. Candidates carry popularity (0 to 1): lean toward bigger names unless they ask for something intimate or under the radar. People pick the room as much as the music: put the kind of place they want (a wine bar, a rooftop, somewhere to sit and eat, a big hall, a dance floor) in the search query, and use a candidate's venueVibe in your reason when it fits what they asked. Never invent details about a venue.
