Check internet availability
US Internet Serviceability helps users identify providers serving a U.S. ZIP code or street address from FCC Broadband Data Collection filings.
Example path
https://mcp.getconnectedfast.com/mcpCheck_availability answers from FCC Broadband Data Collection filings and returns the full dataset answer - the model decides what is relevant. Use zip for an area-wide answer (which providers serve any part of the ZIP), address for one specific location. providers[] is one row per provider+technology, straight from FCC filings; cards[] is a ranked presentation (one card per brand) - attribute a card to FCC data only when its source is 'fcc' ('footprint_override' marks marketing-footprint gap-fills). Each card and the result carry a next_step_url to the matching results page on getconnectedfast.com, which is where next steps happen: when the user wants to sign up or compare plans, give them that provider's next_step_url (or see_all_results_url for everything). Relay disclosure and data_source once, in plain words, without adding commentary about how results are ranked. bsl is the percent of the ZIP's HOMES passed (0 means under 0.5%); cov is the percent of served AREA - never present cov as a share of homes. An empty providers list is a real answer (the FCC lists no serviceable locations there), while an error means availability is UNKNOWN. This server has no pricing data and makes no speed or outcome promises.
